Dara Barnat, poet and scholar, is author of three collections of poetry, The City I Run From: Poems of Tel Aviv (chapbook, 2020), In the Absence (2016), and Headwind Migration (chapbook, 2009). Dara's scholarship on poetry appears widely, in journals such as Studies in American Jewish Literature and Walt Whitman Quarterly Review. She is completing a manuscript on Walt Whitman's influence on the Jewish American poetic tradition. Dara holds a Ph.D. from Tel Aviv University, where she teaches on poetry, creative writing, and academic writing.
